The SSO tariff and the point value

The practice charges according to the tariff of the Swiss Dental Association (SSO). Each treatment item is worth a number of points, and its price is that number multiplied by the point value. At the practice, the point value is CHF 1, so the number of points is simply the price in Swiss francs.

First consultation: CHF 105

A first orthodontic consultation costs CHF 105. Dr Taieb examines the teeth and jaws, answers your questions and assesses whether treatment is needed. For a child, he also looks at the right time to start.

If treatment is advisable, photos, X-rays and digital impressions are taken to draw up the treatment plan. You then receive the estimate.

What affects the cost of orthodontic treatment

The cost of orthodontic treatment depends on three things:

Complexity
The position of the teeth and jaws, and how much work it takes to correct it.
Duration
How long treatment lasts and how many check-ups it needs.
Appliance
A small appliance for a child, metal or ceramic braces, or clear aligners (Invisalign, Spark, Angel).

The treatment options are described on our pages on orthodontics for children, orthodontics for adults and clear aligners.

Written estimate and payment in instalments

The estimate (devis) is written and comes with no obligation to proceed. You receive it before treatment starts.

You can pay in instalments: ask about it when you receive the estimate. The practice works with the Caisse des médecins-dentistes.

Insurance

Dr Taieb is recognised by invalidity insurance (AI) and supplementary health insurers.
